About this Policy

This is the privacy policy of Malahide Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club [MLTCC]. It applies only to personal data as defined in Section 1 of the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003 ("personal information" or "information") and the General Data Provisions Regulations (GDPR) and not other types of business or general information.

The policy tells you who we are, how we collect personal information about you through this website, what we intend to use that information for, with whom we intend to share it, how we keep it secure, and how we transfer your information outside the European Economic Area. By accessing or using this web site you are deemed to agree to the terms of this privacy policy, and if you do not agree with it, then you must not send us any personal information. Protecting your privacy is extremely important to us and we aim to be as clear as possible about how your information is used. We are Malahide Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, a club registered in Ireland. Our registered office is at The Square, Malahide, Co. Dublin, K36 TD90, Ireland . How we collect information

We will collect information from you if:

1) You register to join our club; this may include your name, address, email address and telephone number.
2) You complete online forms, take part in surveys, or participate in any other interactive areas that appear on our website.
3) You contact us offline for example by telephone, email or post.

Security & Storage of Your Information

We will keep your information secure by taking appropriate technical and organisational measures again it unauthorised or unlawful processing and against its accidental loss, destruction or damage.

We will store your information at least for the duration of any customer relationship we have with you, or as otherwise required by law (normally up to a maximum of 7 years for legal and tax reasons).

While the nature of the Internet is such that we cannot guarantee the security of the information you transmit to us via the Internet, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of your information, to prevent unauthorised access or any loss of your information.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our websites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone and (where you have chosen a password) to create a strong password that cannot be easily identified.

MLTCC and all 3rd parties where your information is shared will take full responsibility for ensuring that the most appropriate security measures are in place to protect your information.

MLTCC will store and use your information for a set period. MLTCC will cease to use your information for marketing purposes 5 years from the point of last interaction (e.g. last order or last email activity etc.,) or from the point you request MLTCC to stop using your information for marketing purposes, whichever is sooner. At this point, your information is then archived and only used for analysis.

If you sign up for our service or send us a request for information, we believe that we can demonstrate that we have a legitimate interest in using your information for some marketing purposes, such as sending you offers, etc., however you always have a choice.

You are always in control of your information and MLTCC will always strive to achieve the highest standards in how it collects, used and shares your information. If you feel that MLTCC has not handled your information as set out in this Privacy Policy or in other related statements, you have a right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Your Right to Delete/Rectify Your Information or Object to Your Information Being Used

You are always in complete control of how we use your information. Where you have consented to us using your information for purposes as set out in this Privacy Policy (for example asking us to store your email address to receive a newsletter), you can withdraw your consent at any time. Where you ask us to stop marketing communications, please be aware it may take us a few days (but no longer than a week) to ensure our systems are updated.

You are always entitled to see what information is held about you. If you want to find out what information we hold about you (called a Subject Access Request) or to have any of your information updated or corrected. Before we agree to this, you must provide with sufficient evidence of your identity and sufficient details of the information you wish to see to enable us to locate it, please contact us via email at admin@mltcc.com. All requests will be fulfilled within 30 days.

You have a right to rectify any errors in information we hold about you, and to change or correct any details you have already given us. Please inform us about changes to your details so that we can keep our records accurate and up to date.

Who we may share your information

We will not share your information with any other organisation except in the following circumstances:

1) We will share your information with another organisation to which we transfer, or are in discussions to transfer, our rights and obligations under our agreement with you.

6) We may on occasion use your information to send you details of the products and services of carefully selected businesses which are complementary to our own products and services. Transfers outside Europe

We are obliged to satisfy ourselves before transferring your information to a country outside the EEA that it provides adequate protection for your data protection rights. The EEA comprises the EU countries and Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Countries outside the EEA may not give the same level of protection to your information as those within the EEA.

Our website is hosted in the Europe and therefore we do not transfer any information submitted by you through the site outside the EEA.
