MALAHIDE YACHT CLUB FACILITY

As you will know from our recent ‘Volley’ Newsletter, our neighbour Malahide Yacht Club is kindly facilitating us during our building project by making its clubhouse available to us during the day (so that our Office can continue operating and our daily coffee dock facility is maintained) and also allowing our members access to its Bar in the evenings.

It is important that we point out a number of conditions which have been agreed with the Yacht Club:

-         Access to MYC is between 9am and 5pm (or whenever the MLTCC office is open there) and is only via the double doors facing the Tennis Club. Please do not use the front door of the Yacht Club during the daytime - only in the evening to access the bar.

-         The facility is available to our adult members over the age of 18 years but not to our junior members.

-         You are welcome to use the Yacht Club Bar in the evenings. To gain access, ring the bell at the front door and you will be buzzed in. Please go the Bar, introduce yourself to the Barperson as a Tennis Club Member, sign the visitors’ book on the counter and an MYC member will then sign you in formally. (This is a legal requirement under the Intoxicating Liquor Act).

-         If you wish to use the Bar in the evenings after playing tennis, please respect the Yacht Club’s request that you wear a tracksuit (or similar attire) over your tennis whites while in the Yacht Club Bar.
