Registration for Summer Camps will take place on Monday 6th July at 7pm, upstairs in the Clubhouse.  PLEASE NOTE:  Places are very limited due to court resurfacing and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

Camp 1: 6 - 10 yr olds (beginners); 11.30am - 1pm; €30 per week

Camp 2: 9+ (improvers); 2pm - 4.30pm; €62 per week

MOST SUCCESSFUL DAY IN OUR 130 YEARS HISTORY - ALL 3 TEAMS CROWNED 2009 DUBLIN SUMMER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

Mens 1sts crowned Class One Champions with team of 100% local players proudly led by Michael Nugent

Ladies 1sts crowned Class Three Champions ably led by the experienced Mary O'Neill 

Mens 4ths crowned Class Five Champions and led by our Club President Kevin Pryor

Thanks to all the support out in Sutton and back in the clubhouse.

Summer Tennis '09

Our Website polls indicate interest in a Ladder.  Due to League success and July court resurfacing it may be late Summer/early Autumn before kickoff. Keep an eye on the website for more details in due course.  

Bulletin Board

COLIN O'BRIEN reached the semi-finals of the Futures event in Brookfield LTC this week (20th June), where he played Alexander Sedecky from Switzerland. The match went all the way to a third set tie-break, with the Swiss player coming out on top 7-4. Sedecky went on to win the final against Barry King, another Irish Davis Cup player, again in three sets. Next up for Colin will be another "Futures" tournament to be held in Fitzwilliam LTC, commencing Monday 22nd June.

WELL DONE to ROBBIE HARROLD who played for IRELAND in the 4 NATIONS "OVER 50" event hosted near the REEBOK STADIUM in Bolton, Lancashire over the May bank holiday. Robbie notched an excellent win in his singles match vs. Wales.

Listening to our Members

The 2009 MLTCC Committee wants to keep in touch with members and has been running a series of monthly online polls since Nov 2008. We aim to deliver an excellent service through activiely engaging with our members. Together we can really develop our club for the good of all member categories. The current  polls are listed below. Putting the 'E' into Tennis @ MLTCC

 Old Membership Cards Now History. We hope you agree that the new floodlights really do add an extra bit of colour and brightness to our club and enhance the town of Malahide also!Only new membership cards now work for operating the lights. You can only Transfer credit from your old card to your new card at the Office. You can Top-up your new card at the office or up at the bar when it is open.

 New Website Goes Live.  We now have a new website which was developed as part of the Committee’s programme to improve communications and facilities to members. Apart from an improved design and layout, members will be able to view an updated calendar of events including coaching and league match activities so that they can plan the best time to play tennis. All members will also be able securely access fellow member contact details online – once they have PIN access.

Going Dutch.  Like many global sporting bodies including Tennis Ireland, MLTCC is now using a range of innovative products from Visual Reality, a company based in Holland, to manage our tournaments and events. We currently use Tournament Planner, Tournament TV and Visual Club Web.  We are also checking out the Rankings electronic ladder for possible use here in Malahide. Click on the blue product title to know more. Visual Reality have kindly offered to include MLTCC's own round robin format in next January's version.
